Guest speaker at the USA Triathlon Pacific Northwest Annual Membership Meeting in Couer D’Alene this summer will be Heather Kelly, Western Washington graduate and owner and founder of OPENutrition (Optimum Performance Enhancing Nutrition). Two short lectures will be presented. “Eating for Performance” focuses on how digestive health is critical to performance as well as the importance of converting a carbohydrate driven metabolism to a fat fueled one. “Dynamic Eating Psychology – An Intro to Mind Body Nutrition” will discuss how stress affects digestion and the importance of eating speed and simple practices that enhance digestion and calorie burning efficiency. More information on Heather and her talks can be found on our Facebook page. This excellent education opportunity will take place at the CDA Chamber of Commerce at 4pm August 10.
